How Take5 Works

Don't worry, it's super simple. We'll explain everything like you're five (pun intended). Read this once and you'll be a pro in 2 minutes.

When you post a link, you start with 55 taps.
Each tap is like a "life". More taps = higher in the ranking.
When you reach 0 taps, your link disappears. Game over.

Post your link

Type any URL: your website, your blog, your TikTok, your Instagram, your YouTube video, your online store... anything you want to promote.

Your link goes to a quick moderation queue (a human checks it's not spam or illegal). Once approved, it appears on top of the ranking with 55 taps.

Example: You post https://mycooltiktok.com/myvideo → after a few minutes it shows at position #1 with 55 taps. Everyone sees it.

Important: You can only post one link per hour. This gives everyone a fair chance.

Other users give you "high-fives"

When another user clicks "HIGH FIVE" on your link, two things happen:

1. Your link loses 1 tap (goes from 55 to 54, then 53...)
2. The user who clicked gets to visit your link in a new tab (free traffic for you!)

Example: You're at 55 taps. A user in Brazil clicks HIGH FIVE on your link. Now you have 54 taps, but you got 1 real visitor to your site. Win-win!

Each high-five you receive makes you sink down the ranking. Other users climb above you.

You give high-fives to others

Click "HIGH FIVE" on other users' links to sink them and visit their site. It's the same deal: they lose 1 tap, you get to see their content.

Rule: You can only give one high-five to the same link every 15 minutes. You can high-five as many different links as you want (10 seconds between clicks).

Example: You click on 10 different links in 5 minutes. All 10 lose 1 tap and you visit 10 interesting pages. You can click again on the first one in 15 minutes.

Stay on the page to earn taps

This is the secret trick: if you keep this tab open and active (don't switch to another tab or close it), you earn +1 tap every 10 minutes.

You'll see a counter at the top: +1 tap in 10:00. When it reaches zero, you get 1 tap automatically and the counter restarts.

Example: Your link dropped to 40 taps. You leave the tab open while you watch a YouTube video in another window. After 10 minutes, you have 41 taps. After 20 minutes, 42 taps. Your link goes back up!

Maximum taps: 60. You can't go above 60 even if you stay all day.

Warning: If you switch to another tab, the counter resets to 10:00. You have to stay here.

Reach 0 taps = your link disappears

If your link loses all its taps and reaches 0, it's removed from the site completely. You can't recover it.

Don't worry: you can post a new link (after the 1-hour cooldown) and start fresh with 55 taps.

Example: Your link went from 55 → 40 → 20 → 5 → 0. It's gone. Wait 1 hour (or less if time already passed), post a new link, start again.

✗ Don't do these things

Don't use ad blockers. Take5 is 100% free because of ads. If you block them, the site won't work for you (and for everyone else). Disable uBlock, AdBlock, Brave Shields, etc.
Don't use bots or auto-clickers. If we detect automated clicks, your IP gets banned. No warnings.
Don't post illegal, porn, scam or violent content. We moderate all links. Bad links get removed and the user gets banned.
Don't use URL shorteners like bit.ly, tinyurl, t.co. Post the real final URL so people know where they're going.
Don't create multiple accounts to post more links. One cookie = one identity. We detect and ban duplicates.
Don't try to game the system with tricks, scripts or hacks. You'll just get banned.

Do I have to pay anything?

No. Take5 is 100% free, forever. No credit card, no subscription, no hidden fees.

Do I have to sign up?

No. We give you a random cookie ID so we remember you between visits. That's it. No email, no password, no personal data.

How much traffic will I get?

It depends. Each tap you have = 1 visit to your link. Start with 55, stay on the page to earn more. Some users get 100+ visits per day. Some get less. It's up to how long you stay and how attractive your link is.

Why does my link disappear at 0 taps?

Because this is a fair traffic exchange. If you don't participate (stay on the page, earn taps), you don't get traffic. It keeps the ranking fresh and the community active.

Why can't I high-five the same link again?

To prevent spam and abuse. 15 minutes between high-fives to the same link is enough for real interaction.

Why can't I use an ad blocker?

Take5 is free because of ads. Without ads, we can't pay for servers and we have to close. It's that simple. Please disable your blocker for this site. Thank you.

What happens if I close the tab?

The 10-minute counter resets to 10:00. When you come back, it starts over. Keep the tab open (it can be in the background) to keep earning taps.

Can I post any link?

Yes: websites, blogs, TikToks, Instagrams, YouTubes, online stores, apps, GitHub repos... As long as it's legal and safe. No adult content, no scams, no malware.
